Meet Salam Kitaz, an AGF scholar from Syria who pursued a BS in Computer Engineering at the American University of Sharjah.

“I am extremely proud of what I have achieved so far, I made it and graduated from one of the best universities in the Arab world, excelled in my studies, made new friends and amazing memories, and secured a job. All of this would not have happened without the support of my family, AGF – my second family- and my professors and friends. Al Ghurair not only supported me financially to pursue my degree, but also supported me in my career search and connected me with other scholars from all around the world and did its best to provide what I needed or asked for.”​

Salam graduated from the American University of Sharjah in 2022 and currently she is employed at Emaratech as a Software Engineer in the UAE.​

Salam is looking forward to excelling in her career journey to give back to its community.​
